Dr. Jessica Duggan D.V.M.

Dr. Jessica Dugan is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds an MBA degree from London Business School. Jessica and her family returned to San Diego a few years ago after living and working in Paris and London for 12 years. She recently obtained her certification in Acupuncture after completing a dual equine and canine program conducted under the auspices of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She is also studying Chinese Herbal Medicine as part of a keen interest in blending Western and Eastern medicine to provide her patients with comprehensive, tailored, and integrated veterinary care.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Dugan also serves as the in-house veterinarian for Thrive Animal Rescue, a non-profit San Diego organization devoted to the rescue of abandoned and discarded dogs of all breeds, ages, and situations. She also works as a small animal veterinarian for THRIVE® Affordable Vet Care, a new joint venture with Petco founded on the belief that routine veterinary care for pets should be both affordable and of high quality.

Dr. Dugan and her husband have an active son who is a competitive swimmer and share their home with two rescue dogs, a Catahoula Leopard Dog named Opie and a Jack Russel mixed breed named Millie, and a rescue cat named JoJo who periodically lets the dogs know who is really in charge.
